Tissue Growth Technologies was founded in 1990 as EnduraTEC Systems Corporation, with the charter of becoming a world-class provider of material test instruments to the biomedical community. Over the subsequent decade, the company introduced many new test equipment innovations and built an international customer base.

In 2000, the company recognized the need for mechanical stimulation for tissue growth applications and began developing a line of associated instruments.
